Introducing The Mighty Shorty:

Our very first follower Rig Run Down is Matthew's mighty 07 Pajero Shorty!
Packed with absolutely everything you could need to tour the world and when we say world, we mean THE WORLD.
Not only has this rig been on Aussie soil but it's also traveled across oceans to Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, Iran and Armenia! Now that's impressive!
Ever wondered what you'd need on your rig to tour around multiple countries? look no further because Matthew has covered it all for you.
So with no time to waste let’s get into it!

Interior:

This little beast definitely packs a punch when it comes to modifications, the interior includes a custom switch panel below the A/C controls, Modified T/C switch, EDS computer so he’s able to monitor egt, boost and trans temp as well as read fault codes and clear them.
This rig is also capable of towing and has been fitted with a red arc tow pro elite and MM4x4 torque converter lock-up kit as well as an ARB compressor with rear airbags to aid in the extra load.
Mathew also has a rear false floor so he is able to mount his fridge slide, a 2kw diesel heater which is a no-brainer for how cold some of the places are he visits, and a 4 switch rear panel to control the power of these accessories and outlets.

Exterior:

The shorty is sporting an ARB Safari bulbar with a 20” led light bar and behind this tough-looking bar is a DominatorX 12000lb winch. Moving along we have a Safari snorkel, Big Country 4x4 aluminium roof rack, dual rear tyre carrier (built by Matthew himself), rock sliders, and dual 70-watt bonnet-mounted solar panels.
What you can’t see Tucked away underneath is a set of Bush Skinz bash plates as well as Dobinsons 40mm Lift Complete front struts, tough dog foam cell rear shocks with Dobinsons springs and Airbags.
For the wheels on this beast, Mathew has the standard rims wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich AllTerrain T/A KO2 265/65/r18 with 35mm wheel spacers.

Camping Set-up:

But what about the camp set-up you're wondering?
Of course, we also quizzed Matthew on this one, and it's safe to say he didn't disappoint, straight up he has the rear airbags individually controlled which is perfect for levelling out. He also has a set of ARB Treds which help give you a more solid base because when you're sleeping on top of the vehicle it’s crucial it’s close to level otherwise you'll end up sleeping against the wall, He also has 3 x space cases that has everything he needs packed in them, an 80L Waeco on a slide, a howling moon rooftop tent, 2.5m arb awning, jet boil base camp and Shower kit.

Drive-train

Alright, so popping up the hood we have a Dual battery setup with a ebi battery isolator. He also has a Catch can, Second fuel filter, 3” Manta exhaust,  JonnyTig intercooler, Safari snorkel and a CPA performance chip to get the most out of these mods.
He has also extended his breathers up to the engine bay for his Rear diff, Gearbox and transfer case. Further down under the car he has a second fuel tank and modified rear factory air locker setup.
